The Pagano Garden is a place of historical interest located in Quadrelle, in the square of the same name.

The precious green space is part of the grounds of the Pagano Palace, and, along with this stately building from the 14th century, forms a site of 3,500 m², divided into four sections. The entire estate is referred to as "The house with garden" and was purchased in the 17th century by the noble Barile family. Initially a feudal possession of the Montevergine Abbey, in the 16th century it passed to the Santa Casa dell'Annunziata (Holy House Our Lady of the Annunciation) in Naples, after which the residence saw a succession of different owners, including the Braccio, Pinto, and Pagano families, from whom both the Palace and the Garden got their names.

Over time, the originally agricultural complex has been embellished with characteristic geometries, disparate botanical species, and ancient trees. The architectural elements of the Garden, including the three fountains in grottoes and aediculae, the hillocks and seats, are made of limestone and tuff stone structures, covered with plaster and majolica tiles. The botanical wealth includes huge, centuries-old holm oaks alongside boxwoods, myrtles, laurels, periwinkles, palms, and fruit trees - a symbol of abundance. A strong symbolism permeates the entire open space and is revealed, in part, through iconography linked to the original abbey property: a small marble sculpture depicting a mascaron with water gushing from its mouth, inscribed in an oval, at the top of which appears the head of a monk framed by the hood of his habit.

An architectural gem characterised by a harmonious symbiosis between history and nature, the Pagano Garden is one of the main places of interest in the Quadrelle area.
