The Municipality of Solofra, with the patronage of Pro Loco Solofra, presents "Il Bambino col fazzoletto bianco", a project dedicated to the memory of Teacher Lola Di Stefano.
On January 19, 1954 in Bussi, Teacher Lola Di Stefano saved dozens of students from a tragic accident that had led to the release of 4 tons of chlorine, creating a toxic cloud inside the school. The teacher promptly covered their little mouths with a white handkerchief and took them outside. In the end, exhausted, she fainted and died a few days later at just 34 years old.
A special event to commemorate the great gesture of a woman who sacrificed herself for her students.
