The Church of the Santissima Assunta (Holy Mary of the Assumption) in Quadrelle is located on Corso Vittorio Emanuele III, at the junction between Corso Umberto I and Via Circumvallazione.
Although its origins are uncertain, the religious building is mentioned in some documents drawn up between 1650 and 1697. The Church was doubtless dedicated to the functions of the Congregation of the Preti Missionari della Solitudine di San Pietro a Cesarano (Missionary Priests of Solitude of San Pietro a Cesarano), founded at the behest of its rector, Father Michele Trabucco.
From the outside, the small church has a narrow body. The façade, clearly in need of restoration, has a small staircase leading to the stone entrance doorway. This is flanked by a stone plaque from 1920, honouring the victims of the First World War. The front façade of the small sacred place features a round clock, flanked by two pretty stained glass windows depicting crucifixes, and the iron structure at the top, bearing two bells and a cross.
A characteristic and symbolic religious building, the Church of the Santissima Assunta helps to enrich the artistic value of the historic centre of Quadrelle.
