Atripalda is preparing for the celebrations in honor of San Sabino Bishop, Patron Saint of the town on Saturday and San Romolo Deacon.
The religious events began on Saturday 1 February and will continue until 9 February, but the most evocative moment of the celebration will be reached on the evening of Saturday 8 February, with the lighting and blessing of the bonfire in Piazza Umberto I when the religious "feeling" will embrace the popular festival. The evening will continue with sandwiches, sausages, wine and the music of the Montemarano tarantella, kicking off the popular festival.
On Sunday 9 February the celebrations will begin in the morning: at 10:00 the solemn mass celebrated by Bishop Arturo Aiello will be held, followed by the procession with the simulacra of San Sabino and San Romolo. At 6.00 pm, there will be the distribution of the Holy Manna, a ritual deeply felt by the Atripalda community.
