After four years of absence, "La Festa della Ciliegia" organized by the Pro Loco Santostefanese returns.
The production and export of cherries in the Santo Stefano area is documented as early as the early 1900s. Every year, for over 20 years, between the end of June and the beginning of July, on a date established according to the ripening times of the cherries, the "Cherry Festival" event takes place in Piazza Oscar Brini, with administration of desserts, ice creams, milkshakes, marmalade jams, liqueurs and many other cherry-based gastronomic products.
The 24th edition of the "Festa della Ciliegia" will be held on Sunday 25 June, at 9.00 pm, in Piazza Oscar Brini, in Santo Stefano del Sole.
During the evening it will be possible to taste first courses with cherries, tastings of cheeses with honey and cherry jams, or a great variety of sweets and retail cherries.
All accompanied by good music.
