The Laceno Plateau is a place of natural interest located in Bagnoli Irpino, about 8 km from the town centre.

The luxuriant nature of the Picentini Mountains Park frames this fascinating landscape, made even more marvellous by the presence of the homonymous lake of karstic origin. Surrounded by woods, streams and imposing peaks of over 1,500 metres, the Laceno Plateau boasts a rich heritage of biodiversity: the lake is not the only natural beauty of the place, which offers trails of varying difficulty for excursions to the Cervialto and Rajamagra mountains from various points. The underground of the plateau, on the other hand, contains the cavity for access to the Caliendo Caves, one of the most important and well-known cavities in Campania. They can only be visited by experts in summer, during the lean season, and are the subject of geo-speleological studies in order to guarantee access for tourists.

An ideal destination for sports enthusiasts, the Laceno Plateau offers trekking, horse riding, mountain biking and guided excursions. The riding stables, accommodation facilities (restaurants, hotels, residences), children's amusement park and playgrounds are service and meeting points for tourists who visit the Plateau all year round.

Although the ski facilities have been inactive since 2017, the lake's frozen surface and snow-covered forests make it a magical place to visit even in winter.
