The Calabritto Waterfalls are a short walk from the historic centre of the Irpinian town.
Known for its waterways that feed a vast green area, the Calabritto territory is characterised by the presence of no less than 14 waterfalls, distributed in two different areas: lu Iuozzu Waterfall, Rivezzuolo Waterfall, Petrella waterfalls, Furniddu waterfall, Muleni ru l'Alizzi Waterfall and the five Zagarone waterfalls in Valle del Diavolo (Devil's Valley); Tuorno Waterfall, Bard'natore Waterfall, lu Fuorchio Waterfall and Serramonaca waterfall in Ponticchio.
Among these, the most important and suggestive is the Tuorno Waterfall, 18 metres high and characterised by a waterfall divided into four falls, three of which are clearly visible and one more hidden, immersed in a rich undergrowth with an abundance of mushrooms and fauna that is extraordinary for inhabited areas. The Bard'natore Waterfall is also very attractive. Located at an altitude of 570 metres and consisting of five falls, it is accompanied by a small path that allows the visitor to climb up to the first fall. Finally, the Rivezzuolo Waterfall, known as the highest in Irpinia, is worth mentioning, with its 40-metre drop, plus another 40 metres of slide, for a total of 80 metres.
This is an unspoilt area at the eastern end of the Picentini Mountains, where nature offers sensational itineraries and trekking routes.
