District 2 coincides with the seven municipalities of the geographical area of Lower Irpinia.
The area as a whole is particularly interesting for the presence of cultural, environmental and historical assets. The particular environmental characteristics affect the economy and the development dynamics of the territory, influencing its socio-economic components.
An itinerary goes to Domicella, for its naturalistic and landscape components, then it passes through Lauro, through its Lancellotti Castle, a combination of styles ranging from Gothic to Renaissance, through Marzano di Nola with the Sanctuary of Maria Santissima dell'Abbondanza (Our Lady of Abundance), the Church of Santa Maria in Costantinopoli (Our Lady of Constantinople), the Pago del Vallo di Lauro, with the traditional flavours of the Marrone di Santa Lucia Chestnut and San Martino a Moschiano Walnut to Maglificio di Quindici, an incentive for the community to regain possession of their places.
