After the great success of the "Locandiera", included in the Arianese Christmas programme, the "La Fermata" Theater Company offers its second show "Edison vs Tesla - Light and oblivion". Appointment for Sunday 14 January at the "Lina Wertmüller" Auditorium in Ariano Irpino, starting at 7.30 pm.
Represented by the Benevento company "Red Roger", written by Pier Paolo Palma, directed by Georgia dè Conno, music by Massimo Varchione and Elisa Vito, with Eugenio Delli Veneri and Pier Paolo Palma, the experimental drama that will be staged is the story of a entrepreneur who decides to face the coal and gas lobbies. Set in America, the protagonist presents his inventions based on the use of electric current to move motors and light bulbs. Thomas Alva Edison shows the world how easy it is to pierce the veil of darkness, simply by flipping a switch. However, the invention has limits. To complicate matters, the meeting with a strange scientist: Nikola Tesla. The narrative starts from here. The "War of the Currents" takes place on the stage, which is actually a study on persuasion, on marketing, on the logic of the market that will revolutionize the history of the world forever, for the good (today's technology is due to that time) and for worse (think, for example, of the birth of the electric chair). At the end of the day it's nothing more than a scam, for both of us.
