The Municipal Administration of Cervinara, in synergy with the Pro Loco "A. Renna", the Pastoral Unit and the Borgo Ferrari, organizes the traditional "Bonfire of Sant'Antonio Abate".
Ancient rite and now consolidated tradition deeply felt by the entire community which celebrates the beloved Saint, blessed of fire and protector of livestock and fields, with a great party around the bonfire in the name of conviviality and joy.
We start at 6.00 pm with the celebration of the Holy Mass at the Abbey of San Gennaro - Ferrari. Subsequently, the blessing of the animals will be held followed by the lighting of the Big Bonfire in the center of the Square.
To cheer up the evening, in Piazza Regina Elena, music, songs and popular dances with the folk group "Li.Ta.mmurria-Tarante".
Furthermore, there will be no shortage of tastings of typical Cervinarese traditional dishes, accompanied by good local wine.
