"FAI Schools Day" in Mercogliano

From November 18 to 23, the FAI School Days are back, an event involving 200 places of art and culture throughout Italy, accessible to students of all levels.
The initiative represents a unique opportunity to learn and enhance cultural heritage, in which the students themselves, the so-called Apprentice Ciceroni, will have the task of telling the story and peculiarities of the places visited. For Avellino, this role will be covered by the students of the Liceo Statale "Publio Virgilio Marone".

The project, aimed at promoting peer education, offers students a valuable educational experience, allowing them to explore and deepen their knowledge of the territory around them. 
Among the participating organizations, there is also the FAI Delegation of Avellino, which enthusiastically joined the initiative, contributing to the enhancement of some of the most important cultural assets of the province. 
In the province of Avellino, the Delegation will open the Palazzo Abbaziale del Loreto, in Mercogliano, exclusively for visiting schools. 
The appointment will be on Thursday, November 21st from 9:00 to 12:00.

The FAI Days for Schools include a wide range of places to discover, such as churches, historic buildings, institutional headquarters, parks and historic gardens.

Each site, chosen for its cultural relevance, will be presented in an engaging and interactive way, with students engaged in guiding visits and transmitting their passion for history and art.

An opportunity for young people to become active protagonists in the protection and promotion of cultural heritage.
