The Feast of Saint Anthony is a religious and folkloric event that takes place in Castel Baronia every year on 13 June, the feast day of the Paduan saint.
On the occasion of these solemn celebrations, the statue of the Saint is carried in procession, wearing a rich silver lily. During the Feast of Saint Anthony, as a symbol of prosperity, but also of Christian generosity, blessed bread rolls are distributed in church, which are also taken to the elderly and sick in the town and of which, according to tradition, not a single crumb should be wasted, as a sign of good luck.
Every year, the festivities are attended by a large number of the townspeople, who gather in the streets to give thanks to Saint Anthony.
