Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi: XXIII edition of "The Festival of Festivals"

With the support and operational patronage of the municipal administration, with the moral patronage of the Campania Region, of the UNPLI, with the participation of the Confartigianato Campania and Avellino, of the Carmasius Social Enterprise, of the Confraternita di Misericordia of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi , the Pro Loco Tourist Association “Alta Irpinia – Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi APS”, organizes the XXIII edition of the review of typical products, food and wine, agriculture, folklore, tourism, craftsmanship, art and culture which will be held in the historic center of Sant'Angelo. 'Angelo dei Lombardi, "The Festival of Festivals" from 15 to 17 November.

Many new features of this XXIII edition,  first of all, the event which aims to be the showcase of tourism in the Campania hinterland, will continue to take place in a single weekend and will be held in the characteristic and original historic center of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi.

Three entire and intense days in the evocative historic center of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi among alleys, entrance halls, portals and clearings, among panoramic views, ancient houses and homes rebuilt after the earthquake.
The thousands of visitors, tourists and also the producers of the sector as every year, also for this edition, will be impressed and fascinated

The Sant'Angelo event has now become one of the most important tourist events of the autumn season in the Campania hinterland and neighboring regions. This event, which closes the festival season, aims to be a showcase of tourism, culture, traditions and values ​​of the great Irpinia-Samnite civilisation.
 
The program includes the tasting of typical local products, the presence of the best wine shops in the province of Avellino, accompanied by sounds, songs and dances typical of the rural tradition. The presence of street artists, children's entertainers, valets, folk groups and youth bands is expected, who will accompany all visitors as a soundtrack.

The event offers to the attention of tourists, visitors and curious people, the famous dairy products, provolone podolici, pecorino di Bagnoli, "Il Carmasciano", chestnuts and truffles, hams and sausages, honey, biscuits, taralli, wood-fired bread, oil and garden products, with a short supply chain. All these products are known for their authenticity, originality and goodness! The growth of the event, now interregional with the presence of operators and products also coming from Molise, Puglia, Basilicata and Calabria.

Artistic, rural and service craftsmanship, as always, will be the flagship of the Festival, curated by Confartigianato, together with institutions, schools and bodies that have ensured a qualified presence for years.

The enthusiasts of "plein air" tourism, the Camperisti, with their families, have been looking with particular affection at "La Sagra delle Sagre" for years now.

Taste workshops, round tables, conferences, debates and press conferences have been planned, some of which will also be held in the months following the event.

The Pro Loco has planned guided tours to the most important historical sites: Cathedral with Crypt, Historic Center, the Lombard Castle, the Convent of San Marco and the wonderful Goleto Abbey, defined as "the Assisi of the South". A shuttle service will connect the Center with the suggestive Goleto Abbey.
