The Bonito murals are a set of works of artistic interest located in various parts of the Irpinian town.
The Collectivo BOCA (Bonito Contest Art), "a cultural association made up of professionals and enthusiasts working in the field of urban creativity", has been active in the town since 2011. This association promotes the implementation of interventions that can contribute to enhancing urban and rural contexts, redeveloping certain areas through contemporary public art, particularly street art.
During its years of activity, this association has contacted several internationally renowned artists who have presented their works in the town as part of an open-ended public art festival. Millo, Tellas, Alex Senna, Diego Miedo, Arp, Milu Correch, Camilla Falsini, Guerrilla Spam, Irene Lasivita and Carlos Atoche are just some of the names of the great international artists who have left their work in Bonito. Five of Bonito's murals, moreover, were created in 2016 as part of the "Impronte" (Imprints) project, an event organised in collaboration with the Bonito Town Council and the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, intending to promote awareness of Salvatore Ferragamo's creativity. Moreover, among the murals created in this town, one by Francisco Bosoletti stands out, which, in 2018, was judged one of the most beautiful in the world by the international magazine " Widewalls ".
In a beautiful town with a rich historical, religious and cultural heritage, there is also room for contemporary art, which has found a particular and unmistakable form of expression in Bonito for some years now.
