Preparations are underway for the Strozzaprete Festival which will be held from 30 August to 1 September in Starze di Summonte. This event, now a tradition rooted in the local community, celebrates culinary art and popular culture.
At the center of the festival there will be Strozzaprete, a type of traditional pasta that has its roots in peasant cuisine. This pasta, characterized by its irregular shape, is a true symbol of Irpinia gastronomy. During the festival, visitors will have the opportunity to taste strozzaprete in different variations, prepared with typical local ingredients.
In addition to the culinary delicacies, the festival will be animated by three evenings of live music that promise to involve and entertain audiences of all ages:
- Friday 30 August, Molotov d'Irpinia will open the party with their overwhelming sound, which combines folk-rock sounds and lyrics that tell stories of life and love for the land.
- Saturday 31 August, it will be the turn of Cover Band 838.
- Bottari Tharumbò will be there on Sunday 1 September.
