Caccese Palace, home to the Vedovato Museum, is a place of historical interest in Greci, in Corso Caroseno.
Dating back to the 17th century, it was donated by the Caccese family, originally from Montecalvo Irpino and owners of the building, to the municipal administration with a restriction: it was to be used solely for cultural purposes. The clause has been respected and the Caccese Palace now houses an exhibition dedicated to Giuseppe Vedovato, who was born in this very town in 1912 and proclaimed an honorary citizen in 2009. In particular, the Vedovato Museum houses the collection of objects he collected over 70 years, during which, as President Emeritus of the Council of Europe and on diplomatic missions related to his role, he met many different peoples and cultures.
It was Giuseppe Vedovato himself who donated the collection to the museum in Caccese Palace, a heritage that represents a precious cultural treasure for the Greci community.
