The Carnival Museum is located in Castelvetere sul Calore, in Piazza Municipio, near the Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie (Holy Mary of Graces).
The name of the medieval village in Irpinia is very much linked to the celebration of its Carnival in Castelvetere, as this event is considered one of the most artistic and renowned Carnivals in Irpinia. To celebrate this traditional event, a special exhibition has been set up in the town, which can be easily reached on foot through the town's alleys. In the Carnival Museum, visitors can see photos, costumes, accessories and various other items from past editions, in an atmosphere of craftsmanship and creativity that finds its greatest expression in the days when the festivities take place.
