Museo della Civiltà Contadina e Artigiana di Andretta

Located in Via Libertà, the Museum of Rural and Artisan Civilisation of Andretta consists of numerous rooms that preserve the traces of a civilisation of ancient rural origins, dedicated to agriculture and craftsmanship.

The approximately one thousand artefacts that tell the story of the daily life of the Andretta community are preserved in the Museum's rooms, carefully divided into corners and spaces that faithfully reproduce the home and work environments characteristic of the period.

The first room, dedicated to the exhibition of artefacts found throughout Andretta, is followed by the Farmer's Corner, with agricultural tools used for ploughing, reaping and harvesting, namely, ploughs, clod-breakers, hay-cutters, tridents and pickaxes; the utensils and containers used for wine production are also preserved and displayed here. Tools for killing livestock, especially pigs, and for making salami are also on display in the area dedicated to examples of daily life. 
The Andretta Museum of Farming and Craftsmenship Civilisation also includes a blacksmith's, carpenter's and shoemaker's corner with scissors, planes, clamps, saws, awls, stitch-markers, shoe models and many other tools that marked and accompanied the work of the craftsmen. There is also a special corner dedicated to knitting, with a wooden spinning wheel that was used for a very long time to produce hanks of yarn and wool. 

The research and collection of artefacts from the peasant and artisan civilisation has given rise to a museum itinerary that, as it winds its way through the rooms, takes the visitor back to moments of life and work of a civilisation that is the guardian of great values.
