On 31 January we celebrate Saint John Bosco (Giovanni Melchiorre Bosco), born in Castelnuovo d'Asti on 16 August 1815 and died in Turin on 31 January 1888. He was a priest and peadagogue, founder of the congregations of the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. Don Bosco was canonized by Pope Pius XI on 1 April 1934.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the Parish of San Pietro Apostolo and San Vincenzo Pallotti of Ariano Irpino organizes the Feast of San Giovanni Bosco, paying particular attention to children. Wednesday 31 January - space for the welcome, the screening of a short video of the Saint, the games, the Holy Mass (we will move to the Church of Sant'Agostino) and the final meeting.
