The Romantic Night is a cultural, artistic and gastronomic event, promoted by the association I Borghi più Belli d'Italia (Italy's Most Beautiful Villages) and to which the Municipality of Zungoli has also adhered for some years.
The event usually takes place on the Saturday after the summer solstice and aims to celebrate love and romance in the evocative settings of small villages in different parts of Italy. Each village can prepare its own programme for this event, with two characteristic and unifying moments: the dessert "Pensiero d'amore" (Loving thought), created each year by a starred chef, and the midnight toast.
In the past editions of the Romantic Night of Zungoli - the last of which was held in 2019 - a rich program of music, poetry, plays, exhibitions, tastings and walks has enlivened the picturesque cobbled streets of one of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages.
