One of the most exclusive events of the Irpinia summer is back.
In Gesualdo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, the respective districts will compete with ladles and pans to win the coveted "Golden Spoon".
The event, promoted by the "Gesualdo Borgo Accogliente" group and sponsored by "Slow Food Condotta Irpinia Colline dell'Ufita Taurasi", aims to safeguard, spread and enhance ancient flavours through sharing and conviviality.
Six evenings, six districts against each other armed with typical dishes will fight with traditional recipes.The battlefields will be their own districts: Piano Della Croce, Torre dei Monaci, Piazza, Canale, Pastene and Fiera.
Six evocative menus, six menus of traditional and meticulously specific dishes of the neighborhood to which they belong.Attentive and prepared jurors on every single ingredient.
The traditional challenge will begin on Monday 1st August and will continue on 3rd, 6th, 9th, 20th and 27th August. Which will be this year's winning district? Which dish will tilt the judgment in favor of which district?
