The Passeggiata Ecopaesologica (Eco-village Walk) is a cultural event that takes place in Castel Baronia every year on 1 May.
Organised by the Pro Loco of Castel Baronia, it is one of the most important events in the panorama of eco-tourism in Campania, whose aim is to protect the territory and its landscape resources. Each year, there are themed stages, with topics dedicated to literature, music, gastronomy and much more, along paths immersed in lush vegetation. In the past, the walk also featured the presence of the poet and “village expert” Franco Arminio, with the collaboration of the Casa della Paesologia di Trevico (Home of Village Studies of Trevico).
The whole event, therefore, revolves around the enhancement of the landscape, popular traditions and typical products of Irpinia, especially the extra virgin olive oil Ravece.
