The Fusillo and Spezzatino Festival is a food and wine event that takes place in Bonito, in the Morroni area in early July every year.
Organised by the Feast Committee of Maria SS. della Neve and the young people of Morroni, the festival is dedicated to the two local products, as indicated by the name given to it. But the protagonists of this festival are also other dishes, such as polenta, bean soup, pork with peppers, caciocavallo impiccato (hanged caciocavallo) and pork sausage sandwich. The triumph of flavours is accompanied, as often happens in Irpinian festivals, by lots of music and good wine which, like all the other products of the festival, comes from local farms.
The proceeds of the event are donated to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Neve, a sign of the strong bond between the Bonito community and the sacred place so dear to the local population.
