Cesinali, as per tradition, celebrates San Gerardo Maiella, the apostle of the Sele Valley, friend of the poor and protector of pregnant women. Religious and civil rites are scheduled. The liturgical functions will begin on September 19 and will culminate on Sunday 22 with the solemn procession followed by fireworks.
On Saturday 21, the protagonist of the civil celebrations will be the "Sagra del maiale e dei cecatielli e fagioli" (Pork and Cecatielli and Bean Festival) with dishes representative of the territory prepared each time with passion by the housewives of the town.
The Festival will be held starting at 8:30 pm in Piazza Saverio Urciuoli. During the evening, you can taste local specialties such as sausages, steaks, cotechini and cecatielli. The Irpinia group I Malamente will accompany the evening with its music.
On Sunday 22nd, the final day of the celebrations, the musicians of the Gran Concerto Bandistico "Città di Grottolella" will parade through the streets of the village at 9:00 am.
