The Prince Bridge is a place of historical interest located in Lapio, on the Avellino-Rocchetta Sant'Antonio railway line.

One of the most striking works in the Irpinian town, it was built in 1893 by the Italian Industrial Company of Metal Constructions of Castellammare di Stabia and tested in the same year, in September, to create a link with Taurasi on the banks of the river Calore.

The bridge aroused unanimous enthusiasm in the press, representing a symbol of progress. The construction of the work was a source of pride for the town, as was the Avellino-Rocchetta railway line, which was officially opened on 27 October 1895 with an authentic celebration: on that occasion, the Irpinian member of parliament Michele Capozzi (1836-1917), who had fought so hard for it, invited a large number of his loyal notables onto the train.

Even today, this work, built by the same craftsmen as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, is still one of Lapio's major attractions.
