Orsini Palace in Savignano Irpino is located in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, on the main street of the town known as one of "Italy's Most Beautiful Villages", near the Church of the Purgatory.
Built in 1727 by the will of Pope Benedict XIII - also known as Cardinal Orsini before his proclamation as pope - it was initially built as a complex of "Hospitus Pro Peregrinis", to meet the need to accommodate the sick and travellers. It later took its current name from the pope's family, becoming the town hall on 18 March 1863, a role it still holds today.
Located in one of the village's most picturesque streets, Orsini Palace in Savignano Irpino is the custodian of the past and recent history of this small community in the Cervaro Valley.
